M2 Down 😭
Got rear ended on the highway last night. The driver that hit me was cited for being at fault.
I remember what happened with JustinHEMI and I really hope that they end up totaling the car because waiting for this to be fixed and then taking the carfax hit would be a nightmare I’m sure. Going to the doctor to be checked out - neck and back are trashed. What’s the best move? Lawyer up? Appreciate any advice. |

OMG, that is four M2s down this December. I got rear-ended on Xmas Eve years ago, but was pretty minor and tried to keep the Xmas spirit.
My condolences. |

I'm very sorry to hear this! I hope you feel better soon!
They didn't total my car at 32k or so in repairs. I took the check and sold it to a person fixing it themselves. I don't know how far along they are but I do know they've been looking for parts.

Bummer! Be sure to do some research regarding a diminished value claim against the at fault's insurance company. Should receive some compensation regarding the resale value ding if it does not get totaled.
Godspeed and hope you either (1) get back up and running quickly or (2) they can replace the car for you! |

Condolences dude. Vanderpool’s did an outstanding job fixing my Z4MC a couple of years ago, highly recommended.

Tuxon, just one thing to add:
Check to see if your state is a "Diminished Value" state. If so, it gives you the chance to file a suit against the responsible driver for any loss of value your car experiences due to the accident. Check with an attorney on it. Some states allow to sue for loss-of-use and all sorts of things. Most of the time, these are settled out of court.... |

That's a bummer, especially after all the work you put into it. But more importantly, I hope you're ok and heal up quick.

Yes, that is correct but he can provide some info which can even help through your claim repair/replacement pricess (if its totaled, therevare some things to be aware of that many adjustors/carriers ignore). Its also important to know the party at fault's property damage limit. |

Sorry to see and did enjoy your YT content on the car. Since it's been a while any update from the insurance? Doesn't seem like enough to total to me from the pictures
