Hey Porscha
have a great time, hope you enjoy it! I guess that its not a competitive meet so no need for a MSA Licence, but if you get the bug (which i suspect you will ), is it a Non Race nat B licence required for Sprinting? Let us know how you get on and again Enjoy!!!!!!!

Great little track at Curborough - I used to go there and thrash my kit car about. The owners club I was in used to hire it out at regular intervals and split the cost amongst the 'competitors'.
Last time I went killed the fuel pump though as long right hand bend was making all the fuel go to one side of the tank and letting the electric pump run dry. Had to push the car onto the road and call the AA! Fancy breaking down right outside a sprint track Would make a great E90 meet venue with a bit of track action thrown in! Did you have to pass a noise test? The local residents have been kicking up a stink and the noise test was getting tougher each year. |

Not as bad as having to call out someone I knew when going to a classic car meet because I ran out of petrol ... not in some beautiful old car with a dodgy fuel gauge ... in, yes, you guessed a shiny only 7 year old Boxster S
As it was an introduction day we didn't have to pass a noise test, no idea how they got away with that one but in July I'll have scrutineering and noise test, also got to get a licence but that only takes two weeks. You ought to have had a run down, it can't be far from you? Say goodbye to the redcab as that M3 should be arriving soon surely?? Saw three types of Seven and spoke to their owners today too Tiger running a 200bhp K Series which was for sale, he was trying to sell it too me Westy never got chance to have a proper look round it Robin Hood with plastic fantastic seats been done really well that one had. Also saw a Cobra kit, liked that and a D type replica, liked that too I agree Curborough would make an excellent venue

I was under the impression that noise tests were now mandatory up there. Some snotty 'barn conversion' residents are the main moaners I understand
Not sure the cab would be a great 'track' car lol, but the M3 would be a hoot round there Only three weeks (not that I am counting!!) Is the '7' fund still alive then? The tigers are great cars for the money and the DOHC 16V K series engine works well in a kit car and is quite light. Hope you enjoy the 'proper' day in July |

Hey Porscha
Scruitneering is a must at all events (us marshals get a bit tetchy if things fly off at us ) I assume noise testing will be in force at all motorsport venues now after the Croft Verdict Glad you enjoyed it and the best of luck for the event I love 7's too i got to go for 3 fast laps in one omg it was one of the best experiences of my life. So when you get one bags a passenger ride Oh its my first 924 but it wont be my last, i really want a 944 s2 but the '24 i have at the moment is in great condition and only done 55k, its been garaged for 14 years and i have to say is great fun, so its hard to justify getting rid

My stock MX5 was good fun but they do make good track cars
7 fund is still alive but not really doing much at the moment, I'm certainly going to get one but when I'm not sure as theres a million and one things I want to do to the MX (update shortly when alloy wheel people FINALLY decide to send the right nuts!) and I don't think sprinting for proper is really going to help it much either! If it weren't for money I'd have what I wanted

An ex neighbour who was an engineer and Porsche enthusiast, owned a very low mileage silver "C reg" 924S (pretty sure from memory it was that model), which was immaculate. He worked in Ghana and used it only when home twice a year. I I looked after it for him and gave it the odd run - it was an excellent motor. It passed to his son when he died 3 years ago and it is not now in such good nick. A great shame as he loved the car and swore he'd never sell it.
