Cheapest fix for this?

I really don't know what happened here, it looks like someone rammed a flathead in it. I was wondering what the cheapest fix for this would be. For some reason I can see buying the OEM parts and replacing them will be costly and time consuming. The rubber seal will have to be replaced for sure (if anyone knows the part number by chance I would appreciate it).

Found this: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0

Would my part be #7 Left or Right? For $17 I think I would just take a crack at installing it myself unless it's hard to put on.

Would there be a way to pound it back flush and vinyl it, or would that look tacky?

OWCH!!!
looks like someone tried to break into your car and luckily was unsuccessful.

Not sure how to fix it but I wish you the best in finding a cost effective fix. That sucks!

Tried to somewhat straighten it up with a hammer + cloth, this is some pretty damn strong metal.
