Tinting film

I would like to know is there a difference between the film used for window tinting and tail light tinting. Are they the same type of film or different? thanks.

Depends on the shop. Are you looking to protect them or just smoke em? Lamin-x for protection, vinyl tint for anything else. I doubt they use the same tint, as I doubt the interior window tint would hold up to the outside elements...
