Hey guys...its been fun modding this car and really wanted to get into tracking but my work wont allow it for at least the next 6 years or so. Im moving onto an FJ Cruiser so its time to part with this car.

Car is a 2008 Space Gray 335i 6mt with 85k miles on it. Most of the miles were highway as I traveled a lot for work. I would have loved to keep this car but now all it does it sit in the garage and driven only once a week and seems like a waste just sitting there losing value.

This car has so many mods and would like to sell as is ($35k) but will part out if most of it sells within a few weeks plus I have all oem parts except oem suspension. I will list the new price I bought it for and then a price I want to sell it for next to it. Here are the parts:

New Sell
1. $4500 $3000 - AST 5200 coilovers...I had them rebuilt so they are like new conditions as I only drove 1k miles on them plus camber plates
2. $3500 $2000 - Morr vs8.2 wheels wrapped in Bridgestone RE-11 with 50% tread
3. $4400 $3000 - OSG super lock LSD with VAC race diff cover
4. $700 $400 - Cobb
5. $400 $300 - UUC ssk with dssr
6. $800 $400 - RPI intercooler
7. $1400 $800 - ETS catback exhaust
8. $1500 $800 - ER Race dual oils coolers

and I also have other small things that are on the car but willing to swap for some small amount...black interior trim, m3 steering wheel, m3 shift knob, solid diff mounts, m3 control arms, rear camber and toe arms, powerflex subframe bushings, uuc tranny mounts, etc and things I probably forgot I have on the car. I love working on this car more than driving it which is why I have such a long list of upgrades lol.

I was actually planning on putting RB turbos, but again work comes first and hate to waste 6 years on this car and not driving it. If anyone has any questions just text me at 7five7-5three7-53five9. I live in VA beach now but will be moving up to DC very shortly so anyone in between can come check out the car.

this is an older picture...the grills and trim are gloss black now

ok well if you dont want it then dont buy it...im just asking for this price but its all negotiable. im just trying to judge about how much i could sell my car for...i have over 30k in mods and figured if i could get like 12k of it back and the car worth about 23k thought it was a fair price. if not ill just part it out and sell it outright then.

but just in case someone would like this kind of setup without having to go through all the trouble and install fees then this is a great setup. all it needs is an upgraded turbo.

either way dont be a douche about it...i figured most likely i will not be able to get this price but is definitely worth it as i take extremely good care of my cars. ive done a full claybar, polish, wax 4 times on here which takes me at least 8 hours to do it each time and wax at least 3 times a year plus i have done walnut blast at least 4 times.

plus i can afford 2 cars so if it doesnt sell then the car will just have to be wasted in my garage but hope someone can put this car into good use.

No offense, but you're out of your mind if you think your'e going to get anything close to 35k. For 35k you can get an E9x M3 these days with that mileage.

Mods only do so much for the value.

Your car without mods isnt worth 23k... More like 17-18 on a good day. Best bet is to part out. GL

I don't usually chime into threads like this, but everyone is right. Even in stock form, 22k may be too much to ask for your car nowadays. Fact of the matter is that 335's are a dime a dozen. We're just trying to tell you the reality of it man.

Here's one that was for sale and was HEAVILY modified compared to your bolt ons. His asking price was 27k so you know the buyer didn't even pay that much. Oh and it only had 45k on it's clock.

thats funny you say heavily compared to mine but tell me what is heavily? costwise mine was way more than what he has lol...he says over $21k in mods and mine total is over $30k...i didnt list a ton of mods and labor to install all of my mods.

just my lsd, diff cover and install was more than anything he has on his car including labor lol.

whether i get what i want or not is up to all the buyers out there. if i dont get it fine im not gonna sweat it...but if i do great. i can afford all this crap that i have just dont wanna it to go to waste...i can keep it in the garage forever but what good is it? also thats what i want but i never said thats the final price...if anyone wants it then shoot me an offer but why chime in saying its crazy when there are a ton of mods and labor costs that it would save you.

Having invested over $30k...asking for $35k seemed fair to me but if not then shoot me an offer. plus the car is in great shape...2 owners and no accidents with fluid changes way too often. few people have parts already spoken for so who knows maybe ill part most of it out and sell the car separately.

either way shoot me offers on the car...who knows i might just take it...low ball it lol.

I'm sure a lot of people on here will disagree with you when they compare both cars; especially when you say that your diff cover and install is more than what he has. His car has upgraded turbos and all the supporting mods, suspension, and wheels. His car has half the mileage of yours etc etc. His car was basically a total package in my opinion.

When you dump a lot of money into a car you should expect to see barely any return, unless the car is rare. Better off parting the car out. You'll see a better return for sure; but unfortunately just not near to what you're hoping for. Best of luck regardless.

I'm saying my diff and cover is more expensive than the most expensive part he had on his car...Also I'm not saying anyone on here is wrong...I was just giving my reasoning why I'm listing it for that much.

Also when you say his is more of a full package than mine you have to be more specific...mine was geared more towards tracking as that was what I was planning on doing eventually but because of work that all changed....that guys car is not for tracking as his will over heat.

Either way I'm trying to part it out but if anyone is interested I'm losing the price to $30k if anyone wants it as is

I purchased my '08 335i last November. Exactly like yours minus being manual transmission.

With KW suspension, aftermarket deep dish rims, full body kit (including some cf accessories), and having only 26,xxx miles on it, I paid $23k.

I know my car was a steal, but what kills your sale isn't the year...it's the mileage.

yeah i get what you are saying and looked up my nada prices and it seems like $18k for my car is a decent price for both me and the buyer so $30k with all the mods seem like a fair price...but if no one wants to buy it at that price then guess i have no choice but to part it or keep it.

either way lets just get all my big items sold...there has to be someone interested in the suspension and lsd...its such a steal to get the ast 5200 2way damping for $3k...they are essentially new since i had them rebuilt less than 5k miles ago

Its been awhile since ive even posted, but i really have to say even with the mods 23k is asking high. The value in these cars with that kind of miles really drops. Thats why i decided to keep mine.

well i was only asking for that that price...it was kind of high and didnt realize how much value my car has dropped. its too much of a hassle to sell everything off the car so im going to keep it guys...ill just wait and do the clutch and turbo swap.

itll be a monster once that happens but damn sucks i dont drive this car much lol...and im getting older so im wanting more and more of a comfortable highway car. but ill just keep this car as a project on the side.
