What to do after Wheel and Tire Insurance expires!?
This fall I’ll have one year left on my wheel and tire insurance plan.
At the rate I use the policy, I have no clue what I’m going to do when it expires!? I have the 20” BMW Individual wheels with Goodyear Excellence tires. Already getting nervous; policy paid $1100 for a rim and tire today; happens often! Thoughts!? |

Otherwise, drive really slow and careful and avoid as many pot holes as you can. |

I'm in the same boat. I've used the policy several times, and each instance has been for a large bulging "bubble" forming in the sidewall -- ostensibly from hitting potholes on the highway. Although it's expensive, it's more frustrating than anything due to the inconvenience of having to take the car in to have tires replaced.

But, at some point do any of you feel there is an inherent design flaw with these wheels and/or tires? |

Theres definitely something wrong with these wheels. Had the car 4 months and I already had 1 replaced, and at the dealer today they told me I need 2 more and 4 tires. Something isn't right. And I have the 18's!
EDIT: Well, I got some good news. The rims can be repaired and 3 of the tires are useable. So after the dealer freaked me out, I get away with just a $690 bill OTD instead of several thousand. Last edited by Mike_L; 08-31-2014 at 04:48 PM.. |
