What does this do?

Thought it would be funny to make this thread for those of us trying to learn our computers on wheels.

I’ll go first- on many of the id7 cars they have nfc readers in the wireless chargers. On our cars it’s my understanding the nfc is right under the hazard and saftey buttons as pictured. I’m confused as to what this does for id5/6 cars?

It is for phone pairing. Bluetooth and NFC on and just hold your phone over it to pair.

Man that’s kinda lame. So our cars can’t do the credit card key?
