That’s what I take it to mean. Again, on BMWs that had the FRM module…you can code HBA to be active when you start the car if you had it turned on when you shut the car off.
It’s great if you use HBA anytime you’re driving and night falls and you’re driving on unlit rural roads. When I’m in my (2015) F06 650ix GC…I don’t have to activate HBA when I drive out of the city areas that have street lights into the rural areas with no street lights. The high beams automatically come on (or turn off when oncoming traffic appears). But my 2014 F15 X5 has the BDC module that controls the lights, and I have to manually press the HBA button when I hit those same rural areas with no street lights.
I find it convenient if HBA can be coded to be on by default…but it does not set my hair on fire if it can’t. Just a nice convenience since I use it regularly.
