I've been a BMW fan since I was 2 years old. I am 30 years old now and have an E90. All I can say is the following: BMW has officially lost its way.
It pains me to say it, but I have been shopping recently to replace my 3 and after seeing what BMW had to offer and what it will be offering, I have drifted to other brands and plan on buying somthing else. They have lost their freakin' minds over there. Although I am not shopping for a sedan currently, I just saw the new Audi A6 in person and have priced it out a few times on the website. All I can say is that I freakin' hate Audi with all my might and when I look at the A6 and see what it offers for the price, I can't think of a single reason you'd buy any BMW sedan when you can get the A6 today. By the way, the 770 number is just a joke! What the hell are they thinking? Pretty soon the second number will be so high that they'll have to add a 4th digit to get it any higher... will they do that too? |

Why can't they just make an M7 that rivals the S65 AMG and puts more horse power than a 760li.. Why do they have to keep beating around the bush with a M770i and crap like that.. And what kinda of car would an M770i with 475hp rival? the S63 AMG, S65 AMG, Audi S8 all produce way more power than a humble 475hp!!
Either you do it right! a proper M7 that can rival the S65AMG with 600hp+ or don't do it at all.. |

I have been noticing the same. Young people dont buy Iphones anymore, even when they can afford it. Samsung/HTC/Sony its what they get now. Thats a bad omen for Apple. When a cool product or brand becomes to common, the trendsetters go somewhere else. Could happend to BMW too.

BMW has just announced:
A 135i will be placed inside a 335i, which will be inside of a 550i, which is finally put into a 760i. This new car will be called the 1780i, and the M version due out next spring. Stay tuned. |

Meh...What I consider to be an M7 (in terms of size, luxury and relative isolation) already exists...except it is now badged as an M5!
I'm hoping the new M3 will be more like an updated M5 (certainly based on size it will be).

M'eh, I'd like an utterly bonkers 7-er on my driveway, but an M770iWTF wouldn't cut it...
With no full on M7, my money.. if I had enough would be on this 100 times out of 100.. |

If there is a market for a S63 and S65, then there is a markt for the M7, a market that I would to see BMW play in, as it would force AMG to bring even more bonkers versions of the S class---being the only game in town, makes the king lazy. |

^^ Agree 100%!
What I can't understand is why BMW is getting so much flame for something they haven't even done yet.. but apparantly, based on this thread, BMW will go out of business if they make an M7.. I can only see positive things with an M7, because there is obviously a market for such a car. And I'm sorry but the other ///M cars will not be effected negativly by this car, quite the opposite actually. Who here has seen the new F10 M5 and thought, if only they didn't make the X5 M.. then this car might have been something for me.?? And all this crap about the M-brand is not what it used to be drives me nuts. Everyone thinks that BMW should start to remake the E30 M3 and never ever stop building the V10 from the E60.. But the market changes, and the enviroment, and the competition, and the rules for building cars. If Porsche survived going to water cooled 911's then I think the ///M brand can handle a 7-series.. Why are everyone so afraid of evolution and (most of all) more ///M cars? Shouldn't we applaud this? I am at least.. bring on the M7 and show those AMG people how it's done! |

As soon as they bring the 750Ld xDrive or 750d xDrive to the US, I place an order and put the F02 740Li xDrive I just ordered on lease trader.

I don't see how a lower hp M model would be accepted. People that are buying that type of car are definitely interested in the "numbers"

BMW F01 7 series, in a short wheelbase with a shooting-brake roof, a QUAD turbo 6.75 liter V12 engine from the phantom, make the body from carbon fibre, slap an //M on it and call it the //M777 (looks cool does it not) and call it a day -that, I would like to buy |
