Gargling / Sloshing Sound Behind Dash When HVAC On
Car was at dealer for tire replacement. Advisor subsequently contacted me wanting to perform a coolant flush; I declined.
Within one week after pickup I began hearing a never before heard gargling / sloshing sound from behind the dash with the HVAC system on. Pissed; what kind of coincidence could this be? Could the dealer have checked the coolant and caused this in the process? This thread came to mind: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=875939 Do our cars automatically 'let' / 'bleed' coolant to prevent this? Any further thoughts or insight? Every time I bring the car to the dealer for a simple tire change now something new pops up; becoming suspicious. |

HVAC Whistling still having after dealer replaced the parts again.
Mind boggling. FYI, can’t hear playback on my computer, but clearly can on my phone. |

After having replaced multiple auxiliary water pumps (dealer states there are three!?), dealer now states it's the heater core making the noise.
Anyone know if it's necessary to remove the whole dashboard to replace the heater core? If so, I'm very concerned I'm going to get my car back with scratched leather and wood and new creeks and rattles. So sad. Should I not have the heater core replaced!? |

GEICO has since asked the dealer to perform a 'coolant flush'.
Service Advisor states there's a way to flush the heater core itself, but that same is 3 hours of labor. Is this true!? In speaking with GEICO they say there shouldn't be anything special to this. Can someone please explain how this procedure differs from that of a regular coolant flush? Thank you very much. |
