Is it a write off?

Hi guys,

I had the misfortune of a drink driver smashing into me in my 70 plate 330e Msport Plus.

Just waiting to see what the assessors say but what's everyone's thoughts? All airbags were deployed, front drivers side took a hell of a beating.

Pretty sure it'll be classified as a write off but what's the chances of getting another one to the same spec anytime soon? I loved that car and waited a year from ordering to delivery.

Looking for some good news in a bad situation but not holding out hope. [IMG][/IMG]

It will be difficult given the parts shortages. What is/was your configuration?

If the suspension is damaged/steering rack it will be a loss. Glad you’re ok.

The air bags did their job thankfully.
80mph collision and I walked away from it.

The drink driver was in a 15 plate 5 series and walked away from it as well. Both so so lucky.

Only way to know is to wait on the structural inspection. Good luck.

Most of us are not in the UK. What is a 70 plate?

That kind of damage + airbags deployed = total loss 99.99%.

Sorry for the car. Especially given the delays for these days. Hopefully your insurance covers things. Glad to hear that everybody was fine.

Write off. Hard to get a performance vehicle back to performance standards with that damage.
