Camera Failure

I’m receiving a camera failure error when using my forward/rear camera. I’ve got a 24 760 with the July software. Any ideas before I bring it in ?

Like anything else, I just turn it off, turn it back on.... or you can try to reboot the idrive itself

Not much you can do unless you have an ICOM, but you can try a hard reboot of iDrive, which I believe is holding the volume button down for like 30 seconds.

If I remember right, BMW cameras auto-calibrate based on the software loaded to the camera's main hub (that stitches together the panoramic view). More than likely, you just got a bad camera. It's rare, but happens.

70 sec reboot may help.

The idrive reboot didn’t help unfortunately. I’m bringing it in next week, I will post what the issue/fix was.

My car this morning briefly had the same error. A few seconds later the camera's starting working.
