What do you use for daily bug gut removal?

It's grasshopper season here, so every time my wife drives her new Alpine white X5, there's a grasshopper massacree on the front of the thing. What do you use to remove the remains, if the car doesn't otherwise need washed? The front is freshly PPF'd, if that matters.

I used some SprayAway foaming glass cleaner that worked pretty well, but I don't know if that's the best thing to use on PPF.

Gyeon Bug and Grime remover or Gyeon APC and then agitate with an ultra soft detailing brush, then rinse off.

I've used Griots Bug and Tar Remover with success. Spray the bug infested area...let it dwell a bit and then hose it off....

Always helps too to have a good coat of wax or ceramic on the paint too.

I use that too. And when I know bugs are bad (primarily lovebug season around here) I coat the front and the mirrors with Griot's Bug Barricade. Between that and the ceramic coat, the bugs come off pretty easy.

Try filling a spray bottle with a heavy mix of your favorite soap/APC and water. Spray it on and let it dwell for a bit. Bugs will come right off and won't cost you $15.

Gyeon EVO Can Coat

After washing my G05, I applied Gyeon EVO Can Coat. The surface now feels really slick. When I got home after recent short drives, I saw some bugs (not many) on the front. I wiped my finger across the stuck on bug and they just fell right off, leaving no residue. It may be different with a road trip, which I have coming up in 3 weeks. I'll post again after that 9 hour drive.

How easy was the new EVO Can Coat to apply and what are your initial thoughts on it?

It was easy to apply. Do a section at a time. I used two microfiber towels. Spray twice on the application microfiber. Directions are to do the towel spray away from the surface of the vehicle. Then wipe the section. Use the second microfiber to buff it. If you search for the EVO can coat, you will find several You Tube videos. Look for the Gyeon one. I think it took me a little over 30 minutes to do the whole X5.
This is my first ceramic coating. I like it a lot. Much easier and looks better than traditional wax.

It seems like Gyeon Bug and Grime remover is popular. Any other recommendations?

Is there any spray to remove bugs where I don’t have to perform a follow-up car wash afterwards? There’s nothing worse than washing my car during the day and then getting it bombed with lots of bugs at night. The car is still mostly clean. I just need to remove the bug carnage.

That is my go-to for summer bug cleanup as well.
However, my car has real paint, not the PPF condom, so your solution might be different.

Good luck,
a

P.S.: The above works on all situations other than driving through Canada in August. Drove through Ottawa once, then it took multiple acts of God to remove the carnage from the front of my car.

Pickup some Dark Fury from Oreilly. You may have to order it but it's very effective. I run a detail business and use this for bug guts and traffic film remover. They sell it by the gallon also

I use Simple Green. The bugs just melt away and it doesn't harm the paint
