I hear you, but I came from a Gen 5 Camaro. On that forum one of the most popular threads was a thread of excuses on buying a V6 versus a V8. Then the next popular thread? The regret and going to upgrade to a V8 later anyway.

So yes, don't make excuses, buy what you can afford, buy what you like.

My wife was in a car discussion at her office today. Told the person we narrowed our new car to another bmw or possibly an Audi.

Their response: Audi is pretty decent, but bmw is overrated. You should get an Acura.

When i traded in my X5MC I got an appraisal from my local BMW dealer. The sales manager said "Most people that buy X5's dont typically wanna pay the premium for the competition model." No crap. The X5MC is a different market segment than the X5.

This isn't a common saying I'm sure but recent to me and still bugs me a little bit.
