Anyone know what this icon mean on the dash

2025 750e, the speed limit sign stopped displaying and the word "LIMIT" appeared inside a yellow circle (Instrument cluster and HUD).
I didn't press the speed limiter / cruise control (checked that). There was a map update pending, which I have since applied (manual update) but the icon is still there. Any idea how to get rid of it? Thanks.

Probably the Speed Limit Assistant. I have all sorts of controls and limitations set on mine where I'm hearing beeping and seeing icons I know little about. It's too much technology -- but again, that's what I wanted! ;-)

The LIMIT icon used to display the current speed limit (in red circle) but suddenly change to "LIMIT". This is not the speed limiter "LIM" on the steering wheel. I checked both speed limiter and cruise control, none were on.

I tried voice command to see if this could be reset but response I got was that the country I am on, doesn't allow speed limit icon to display which is not true as I am in the UK. Maybe something to do with the EU speed limiter law, that is being rolled out by BMW?

This is a bug. It never appeared on my G70, but it used to appear a lot on my gf's G60. It will go away randomly, however I'd suggest ringing your dealer.

Spoke with BMW, they recommended trying a Service Update in car to refresh the connection for all online apps and services then wait for 24 hours for this to reset. Will see tomorrow if this resolved.

Edit(02/11) - Map update and software upgrade resolved it for now. Keeping fingers crossed.
