Can voice assistant system learn a driver?

If so, can a software update make it unlearn?

Before the update I would say "Hey BMW" then "CNN". It would start playing Sirius station CNN.

Since the update, it always says it doesn't understand. After i say "Hey BMW" I now have to say "Sirius radio". then it asks what channel, then i tell it CNN. then it turns to the station.

It never did that before the update.

Could it have learnt what the driver means over time, then forget it when updated? Or does it not adapt to the driver's commands over time, and something else messed up the previous behavior during the update?
