Rear Theater Screen Not Turning Off After Washing Car
Has anyone else faced this problem?
I’m not sure what happened — the rear theater system was working fine before. I forgot to turn it off while washing the car, but the car itself was turned off at the time. Is there a way to reset or check the issue? I’m not getting any error messages. The theater screen still fold up / down with introduction sound , but it is black |

I assume you tried rebooting? 70 second press on volume button.

Maybe you were earlier watching porn on it and it hasn't turned off because it feels like, REALLY dirty!
Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously though, I'm with AlteBMW's rebooting suggestion. Similar to resetting (rebooting) your home PC, sometimes 'blowing out the carbon' (the old auto term) like that is the only thing needed. Beyond that, your warranty of course will cover it. Somebody else might reply or opine how water might cause outside sensors to activate and possibly interface with your inside electronics -- that'd be interesting to know. Ultimately however, not to worry, either way it will be corrected soon! |
