Rear passenger door noise

My 2025 740i has a loud crackling noise coming from the rear passenger door. Everytime it's parked for a few hours, as i start to drive within the first 4 minutes or so a loud crakling noise comes from that door, sounds like brittle plastic or breaking glass. The car is only 2 months old. I think it might be coming from the sunshade area.... I also think the heat from it sitting in the sun plays a factor.
Does anyone else have this issue?

I began experiencing this issue about a week after my i7 was delivered to me. I could hear the noise from both rear doors and it sounded like it was related to the sunscreens. I made an appointment to have it checked at my service center. But in the meantime, I had the windows tinted. The noise immediately stopped after the window tinting. It’s been a few weeks and I haven’t heard the noise since. If it returns, I’ll definitely take it to the service center to have it looked at.

When tinting rear windows, most body shops will attempt to remove the entire door panel. For the rear, after removing the door panel, in order to remove the door gasket so they can install tint, they also have to remove the rear blind assembly.

Likely, by the time they removed everything, and put it back together, something was lose within the blind assembly, and now it is well put together. Just my guess.

I am demanding my tint shop to not take the panels at all. Prefer to keep everything factory installed, as each time a panel or trim peace is removed, there is a riskto develop creaks (sometimes the opposite though) A good shop should be able to install tint without removing the panel. Even of the window gasket needs to come out, there is an easy way to remove it without removing the door panel and then the blind assembly.

I waited at the shop while my windows were being tinted and was able to watch the process. The tint techs did not remove any panels during the process. Which is why it is even more mind-boggling to me what cause the noise to stop.

I hear a cracking noise sometimes, I think like you describe.
Occurs more on hot days when the AC is on. I pick it up coming from the door pillars behind me

I have put it down to the air conditioning cold air running over the hot plastics and it creaking as it expands/contracts. I think it is coming from the vents in the door pillars for the rear. Doesn't happen very often

Took the car in to BMW. they said they were able to duplicate the noise, they called me the next day to pick it up and said they lubed the trim piece with silicone and no more noise was present. Five minutes after i drove off from the dealership it was crackling again LOL SMH,,,, I live 45 min from the dealership and wasn't in the mood to take it back. Anyway going back to indianapolis in 2 weeks so i will take it to a dealer there and see if they can fix it....maybe they can put some felt tape underneath it or something.
Definitely crackles the hotter the temperature.

Took the car to bmw of indianapolis last week, they had it for a week and called me to pick the car up stating that they could not duplicate the noise, picked the car up and 5 minutes later while driving to work crackling noise was still coming from left and right rear windows lol smfh. I give up, guess i'll have to live with it.

I have some minor crackling with trim pieces possibly expanding/contracting but it goes away. Thanks for the tips about the window tint. I'll be sure to mention no removal of door panels when i get it done. Its unfortunate but "can't duplicate" usually means F off and deal with it. I had it happen twice. My right turn signal doesn't auto reset at times after completing a right turn. They couldn't duplicate but as soon as I left the dealer it happened again. The second issue is condensation in the headlights after rain. They couldn't duplicate it and also said minor condensation is expected and will go away on its own.
