Complaints 2023 760i
I love my 760 but here are a few things I dislike:
1. Sun visor vanity mirror- extremely poor lighting. 2. No digital rear view mirror. Using the TV completely obstructs rear view mirror. 3. Upper trunk weatherstripping causes water to drip into cargo area from lid weatherstripping when opening after rainfall. 4. Rear entertainment package is pretty useless without esim activation. I currently use a firestick as a workaround. I just wish my vehicle could automatically use my phones wifi as a Hotspot like a Tesla can. 5. I would take a sunroof that opens/closes vs panoramic sky lounge LED roof. 6. I recently had to have my 12v battery replaced. At first said the dealer said factory warranty would not cover replacement because "I'm not driving it enough" (5500 miles). They eventually replaced it under goodwill. My question is why cant i view my 12v battery charge level anywhere? The dealer only realized I had a weak battery bc I was not getting automatic software updates. 7. Throttle response time is slow. 8. Driving assistance pro package (ZDY) works well on an open highway but it detects vehicles ahead a bit too slow. It also has a long delay to accelerate when the car in front begins to move forward. 9. I wish I could open the automatic drivers door with a key fob button. I know I can do it on my phone digital key but its way too many steps. In Europe, the key fob has a programmable button on the key fob to accomplish this. 10. It would be nice if the wireless charging tray in the front had space for two phones for driver and passenger. 11. Almost all features are disabled when parking camera is open. For example, cant activate theater mode, switch driving modes, etc.. 12. This one doesnt apply to my 760 but for my X3. I can no longer download software updates to a USB drive and then plug it in to upload to my vehicle. BMW website no longer provides the firmware updates. 13. I can remote start with my phone but I cant turn it off with only my phone. It would be handy in the event my plans have changed. I have to wait for it to automatically turn off after ~15mins. 14. Can't use Sport mode as default mode. 15. More sound deadening would be nice to eliminate road noise. Anyone else have something to add? Last edited by AKP760; 11-17-2025 at 03:48 PM.. |

1. Sun visor vanity mirror- extremely poor lighting. Not a problem for me or wife
2. No digital rear view mirror. Using the TV completely obstructs rear view mirror. Agree -even without rear screen! 3. Upper trunk weatherstripping causes water to drip into cargo area from lid weatherstripping when opening after rainfall. Have not encountered this. 4. Rear entertainment package is pretty useless without esim activation. I currently use a firestick as a workaround. I just wish my vehicle could automatically use my phones wifi as a Hotspot like a Tesla can. Don't have the rear screen and I don''t miss it either. 5. I would take a sunroof that opens/closes vs panoramic sky lounge LED roof. YES 6. I recently had to have my 12v battery replaced. The dealer first said they would not cover replacement because "I'm not driving it enough" (5500 miles). They eventually replaced it under goodwill. My question is why cant i view my 12v battery charge level anywhere? The dealer only realized I had a weak battery bc I was not getting automatic software updates. Strange. I do put a trickle charger on when the car will be idle for more than a week or so. 7. Throttle response time is slow. Disagree. 8. Driving assistance pro package (ZDY) works well on an open highway but it detects vehicles ahead a bit too slow. It also has a long delay to accelerate when the car in front begins to move forward. Doesnt work at all for me because of numerous eye surgeries; it does not dettect mmy eyes no matter hoow I set the steering wheel 9. I wish I could open the automatic drivers door with a key fob button. I know I can do it on my phone digital key but its way too many steps. In Europe, the key fob has a programmable button on the key fob to accomplish this. Don't have this feature. 10. It would be nice if the wireless charging tray in the front had space for two phones for driver and passenger. Yes, I think they'll do this in the LCI. 11. Almost all features are disabled when parking camera is open. For example, cant activate theater mode, switch driving modes, etc.. Yes but a small issue. I have to wait for it. Agree. Add: Make esim keyed to car and not phone or make it easier to make sure it is activated in onlly one car. With 2 cars with esim, it is a nightmare of always having esim in the wrong car. I don't have rear screen so I have abandoned esim completely. Add: allow trunk to be closed via key. But all these are annoyances and I have yet to have a car (and I have had a LOT of cars) that is perfect. This car is one of the best I have owned if not the best.

- heat insulation for the sun is very poor - no 230V plug, no 12v in the trunk - no V2L BUT - i still love the car and wouldn't want to change it. i recently drove in the new S class... meh... |

if you charge often, and get the CTEK which i also suggest like Alte, i suggest you look at this:
https://www.ctek.com/de/batterieladegerat-12v-24v/zubeh%C3%B6r look for the eyelet that fits the port and that you can mount it (not sure if the charging ports as mentioned can fit this. the big advantage is that the connection is secure even if you close the hood. also, as mentioned above, i use this to monitor the battery when it's not on charger: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_c3FRHA2N my R230 tends to suck the comfort battery empty... a major flaw... with this i can check the status via my phone. |
