Looks much better than current. I just wish it had bigger headlights than these narrow slits.

But, overall, they fixed it. It’s desirable now.

NVM, I now see that this is a rendering.

I don't like it. I don't understand why some people think that the daytime running lights will be the same as in the iX LCI? These are two different cars. The 7 Series has dual front lights.

In my mind, headlights should be wide opened and prominent on the front of a vehicle, not like this - a squinting-like afterthought. I mean JAYSUS BMW, you fix one thing then lessen the other; how hard can it be to make a proportionately-sized headlight array and grill together on one car?

I think the facelift will be very subtle, given the very good sales figures. From the photos of the prototypes, it is clear that the daytime headlights will DEFINITELY not be the same as in the iX LCI, but rather the same as in the RR Spectre.

Other than the higher end leather and dash button materials, those here with both cars (I know about 3 users owning both here), said that the car is essentially the same with comfort level and driving experience with same noise/isolation level. One of them actually said that the 7 with Active roll stabilization drives even better.

To be clear on that rendering the slits are not the headlights, the headlight is down below:

I don't really understand why the 7 Series would stylistically refer to the cheaper iX model, which does not have dual front lights. It's incomprehensible to me. I would definitely not buy another 7 Series in this shape.
I will continue to insist that it will be similar to the RR Spectre. I'm talking about daytime running lights.

Why are you saying it doesn't have dual lights? It clearly still does, and the render that we saw earlier has dual lights the same as the current car, the headlights are just only half the width they are on the pre refresh car.

I'm not saying that there are no dual headlights, but I don't understand the vision of the designer who came up with the idea that the 7 Series should have lamps similar in style to the cheaper iX. To be precise, I'm talking about daytime running lights. In my opinion, they will continue to be thin horizontal strips.
I just found someone's vision with different daytime running lights. It will probably be something like that. But the black horizontal grille doesn't fit. Perhaps it will be offered in the M package version, and the classic version will have a chrome vertical grille.

I'm starting to wonder if the RR Spectre and BMW XM were designed to have dual headlights from the outset. Why do I think so? Because the Spectre and XM daytime running lights are better integrated into the bodywork, which is not the case with the 7 Series. Perhaps the 7 Series was originally supposed to have classic headlights, and the idea of dual headlights came later. But I'm not saying it looks bad. The front of the 7 Series looks amazing. Especially in dark paint colors.

I share your opinion. One of the design aspects that make the current G70 front look great and also sporty at the same time is the full width of the splitheadlights with the same proportional width. I really like this design and see it as one thing that makes the current G70 look presidential/classy while still sporty, without being too BMW-sh or sporty only like most other BMW models.

Having said that, I’m not too worried about what they’ll or may do with the LCI. I liked most of the new BMW designs, and I think they’ll do great again. Looking at the spy shots, the exterior facelift clearly is very subtle anyway. The hood, fenders, and bumper structure are exactly the same geometry. The headlights design concept is also similar. I’ll wait and see, but yes, I’d prefer to keep the full and dual headlights, not just for the look, but because they work and illuminate the road very well. They are brightness headlights I’ve ever had on any car.

I actually think that it will NOT be dual or not true dual for sure. If you look at the current lower headlights unit below, you will see THREE structures:
1. Two (large) primary LED projector modules (both actually work even with the low beam only)
2. A third smaller enlay/element toward the outer edge)

The spy shots clearly show that BMW is indeed just a single main large projector plus the same curent 3rd smaller element. So secondary one you mentioned is just the same as the 3rd already-existing one based on size and illumination in spy shots. There is no 'dual eye' look anymore. I see it as one beam plus the same smaller LED inlay for cornering/accents, like we see in the newer 5 Series and Neue Klasse designs. It’s interesting cause they were SOOOO proud if the dual beams in the intro of the G70 for the functionality aspect.

I think if you want a RR Spectre you should get a RR Spectre lol. The light design is not going to be the same as the Spectre...

I agree with you. I hadn't noticed it before, but the front lights have the same proportional width, which maintains symmetry.

I posted on another thread that there appears to be a larger front overhang on the test cars. There could be a complete "dummy" overlay hiding whats beneath.Regardless,I'll be ordering a 760i if it's available and they don't totally screw up the exterior and/or the interior design.I really don't want to go back to Mercedes. The facelifted S Class is dropping today. My CA is checking with the rep to see when the new 7 will drop. Most likely March/April.I'm told I'm first in line. We'll see.

This smiley face on the new facelift S around the gloss-black front is even worse than the smiley face on the 7 in lighter colors with MSport. In fact the lighter color MSport 7s look much better now. I can be more frank on a BMW forum… it looks like Mbenz is trolling their customers with this combo.

I don’t care much about ICE cars, but frankly, it’s sad to see the S class on this path. Just put this front next to all prev generations and u’ll think this is a C or E class hanging around them. Pre-refresh front was not attractive (and just that).. now this one is truly straight ugly not just boring.
