I mean they aren't bad. Just would be better with more material.

Skip the gloves - you want a proper wheel mitt.

Check out The Rag Company. I use this mitt along with Brake Buster for cleaning OEM wheels/pads: https://amzn.to/4mykf5R

I have the same wheel mitts, and like I'm sure many here, multiple wheel cleaning products. Always willing to try something new and for the cost of a Starbucks order I think they will work well for behind wheel spokes. If not, no great loss.

On factory 826M's, I'm able to get behind the spokes of both front and rear wheels without issue. I can also get into the barrels without issue. The rear barrels are easier since the wheel is entirely flat, but the fronts have a small lip in the barrel, making it slightly more challenging.

For barrel-only cleaning, I'm going to be testing a few flat microfiber "brushes"/pads next.

Update- crazy that cleaning rims requires a written update but here goes...

After all the 6 different wheel cleaners, rags, elmo gloves and the like, Sonax Plus and the mitt works the best! The Sonax really does do an amazing job. Someone posted a video of it in action and it doesn't lie. You got to spray the crap out of your rims with the stuff and let it sit for about 8 to 10 minutes then hose or power wash it off. The brake dust comes right off, even in the nooks and crannies of the brake calipers. The only issue is you really have to rinse ALL surfaces of the rims. Make sure you hit the hidden sides of the spokes. Unless you're going to wash them by hand, the Sonax is somewhat thick and sticks on the surfaces really well. I don't think you want to leave that on the rims for a long time. I finish the process with some rim ceramic spray from Chemical Guys. Trust me, the Sonax and the rim mitt cut a lot of time off the rim cleaning. And you're not finding yourself going back later with a micro because you missed a spot.
