Advice on front bumper damage

Hey guys,

I was parking in a spot last week and accidentally pulled in too much and went over one of those curb-like parking stops (I feel like a complete idiot). The grill got dented in, the bumper is very slightly misaligned and there are scratches below the bumper (pics attached). Luckily the bumper is not cracked and is salvageable. A BMW body shop quoted me $1600. Anyone have recommendations of how to repair it in a more cost-effective way? Maybe buy the grill from an OEM store and get it installed elsewhere? Have the bumper fixed at a different body shop?

Thanks for the help!

For $1600 you could buy a new Euro bumper, have it painted, and shipped from IND. I would get your reflectors shaved while they are repairing the bumper anyway... IND probably has some OEM bumpers that they could shave, paint and ship for less.

It does however look like there is some additional damage there; it's hard to determine how many parts you need to buy. Probably the grill (don't know the price), and the center undercarriage cover (or whatever it's called) which goes for about $125.

Mine looked a bit worse than that after a raccoon darted in front of my car. Anyhow, the grill pulls right out. As good as new.

I would just get a new grill insert (or pop the old one back in if possible) and call it a day. Doesn't look that bad for me to justify spending $1600 on.

Just get a front lip and call it a day. Doesn't look bad at all.
