Ohh shi*.. F&F at its work..
But on the serious note, i wouldnt put even a semi recirculated bov. The sound you are looking for happens when the air is released into atmosphere, which the car wants completely recirculated back into the system as a stocker. When i was in the evo scene, many were against it esp wo very good ecu tuning.

There is an age restriction on BOVs in New York going into effect on Jan 1st. You have to be 21 or older to have it shipped, so you better act quick!!

Don't do it. The car won't run right because the sensors will want to see that recirc'd air.

Like these guys are saying, the car needs that air to circulate so I would not do it if I were you.

Take out the charcoal filters and swap the air cites with K&N or BMC and youll be able to hear more of the BOV sound you're looking for. Or you can buy an aftermarket intake and I'm sure it'll be a lot louder. Don't do aftermarket BOV though because you'll fuck up the car.

On a MAF based motor yes the ECU will need to have the air recirculated to keep everything happy. MAP based motors are different, they don't 'have' to be recirculated. I am not sure if the F80 is MAF or MAP, but my 1M, N54 twin turbo, has no problems venting to atmosphere only. No tune, no chip/flash, and no problems.

Where is the damn BOV located? I haven't had time to go dig around there to see if it can be vented... I don't care about the F&F jokes... I had it vented on my old Rx7 and loved it. Yes, I'm a ricer.

the s55 has no blow off / recirculation valve. plus the car makes no vacuum so to even put a BOV in you would have to do what the diesel truck guys do.

I did it on my 335is and I am pretty sure it contributed to damage to the car...I think it would sound too ricey for an M4 and takes a lot of the class out...
