When do you take down your Christmas tree?
So when do you all take down your Christmas trees? For me it has usually been right after the New Year. We are hosting a party on the 30th and my wife and I were trying to figure out if we want to take down our tree before then or leave it up (space is not a factor). Just wondering what the rest of the hive does!
Poll is inbound!

If you take a look at stores, in the US things seem to happen quick, then are removed quick and onto the next thing... ah the joys of commercialism... Chrismas in November, why not?... get that tree out of here, Valentines day is coming..

Usually a negotiation. My wife wants to keep it up until after New Years. I want to take it down 12/26. So usually between Christmas and New Years. We need to get it down and all decorations stored early this year. Master bath remodel starting in 2 weeks so also need to move over to guest room before that starts.

All the decorations will come down in the next couple days but the bare tree stays up unti after New Year's. The tress are collected and placed in the marshes to help rebuild wetlands so we wait for that collection which is the first week of January.

We normally leave for the cabin a day or two after Christmas and hope when we come home after NYE that the house hasn't burned down yet.

I always though that was what New Years Day was for...to take the tree down.
Interesting thread learning that not everybody does it that day like I thought.

Makes me chuckle to see the one response for keeping the tree up all year. I knew a childhood friend who’s family did that. Being pretty well off, they had a massive living room but for some reason had a disproportionately small artificial tree, which I thought was odd. Fast forward to the summer, I was at their house and I had to get something from behind a piece of furniture, nerf ball or something we were tossing around, and there was the tree with ornaments and everything still on it. My friend was like, “yeah we’re lazy and just push it back there after Christmas and drag it back out like a week before.” I thought it was genius.
