Has to be performed in ISTA or autologic.

I’m having problems with high WGDC, surging and boost oscillations with my Pure Stage 2+ turbos. Have reached out to Pure who recommend “actuator calibration” to troubleshoot

Have you tried swapping the WG actuators from left bank to right bank or with a different set? It might be something as simple as needing a replacement. Just a thought.

I'm having the same issue with my PS2+. Called all over town and no shops provide this ISTA calibration. I've also contacted Pures with no solution.

This is how I understood it:
When you turn your ignition on, your dme cycles the wastegate actuator between fully open and fully closed. It knows the voltage for both extremes and can adjust the opening/closing of the wastegate accordingly. I have used ISTA to set the linkage length correctly. Basically ISTA runs a test and tells you to increase or decrease the linkage length accordingly. If you not out of this specification (drivetrain error), then I'm not sure how this calibration can help? |

Please note that if the waste gate linkage is more than 2mm out of spec ISTA will not read it. Adjust linkage all the way out and then incrementally adjust it inward using the adjustment nuts and keep checking ISTA as you adjust.
This is a common problem if you're not familiar with the limitations of ISTA. |

I have done the WG calibration several times using ISTA+
It is not a hard operation to do. But usually if your WG's do require adjustment, your car will immediately throw a drivetrain malfunction. It will throw the error even if you are 1mm outside of the calibration, so it is very sensitive. Usually low boost with high WGDC is indicative of a boost leak.

I just was speaking to pure about this as I have compressor surge with pure stage 2+. I have a JB4 with blue tooth connect and was adjusting my user settings this is where I sit with my wastegate adaptation is at 80 it was originally at 10. I set it and drove the the surge seemed to go away only to come back when I stepped on the gas then backed off the throttle and slowly increased it, but other times when I just floored it (multiple highway pulls) it was fine. Car def feels slower with just a JB4 and not a DME flash stacked.

i did get a bunch of these a couple weeks back. Anyway both Pure and my tuner are telling me i need a wastegate calibration most likely. might have been some issue during install. |

I clear the air mass codes and they usually come back every few days or after some spirited driving. I'm not sure what to make of those codes tho. |

Where is the calibration done within ISTA please?
I've found where to measure what it currently is (IE, value for closed limit position in mm etc) but not any 'calibration' of sorts. Thanks!
