Anyone have forge charge cooler and not rub?

As titles asks, anyone have the forge chargecooler and experience no fitment issues at all (rubbing on the hood) I have seen a few posts about this issue. I contacted forge and was put in contact with Luke Amon who is the development manager. He stated the only instance they are aware of was with a CF hood.

There was another post that had an aftermarket Jpipe fitment issue that may have been the cause. I am interested in buying since my stock one is leaking but really dont want to deal with this thing either rubbing the paint off my hood or the hood rubbing the coating off it.. Posts and comments seem to have turned to its an easy fix just bend the hood a bit, just wondering if there are people out there with no fitment issues at all.

Forge seemed receptive to getting another donor car in to their shop and reviewing everything again, but he indicated it would be post covid at this point..

It's literally 2 light hits with a ball peen hammer to 1 area of the hood bracing, or whizz wheel off a small section about the size of a quarter.. Super easy fix.

Yeah i just install it last week and it rub during driving. I email them they responded that remove the top black cab may help. It lower the cab but still slightly rub. I have to put a washer/spacer to raise up the hood

isnt a spacer going to mess up the hood/fender line? it seems to me that the filler cap could be redesigned slightly to not be so tall

Not really. My oem gts hood is actually sits lower than my stock hood about 3-4mm. Using washer/spacer helps to line up. Remember every hood are different. You need to adjust fender to make it aline

Yes thats with the standard M3/4 hood. With the carbon hood, try maybe putting a piece of felt between the hood and the cap, or a piece of neoprene(wet suit material), something to cushion the place where they make contact. Not really an ideal solution, but don't know what else to suggest.

thanks for the feedback guys. i will talk to forge. it seems maybe the issue is simply the cap is too large, or perhaps the neck for the cap could be reduced in height slightly.

Forge was rubbing to my standard hood too but not from the cap. Better identify exact place which is rubbing.. I got my hood simply hammered a little bit and this solved my problem as well.
