G11 on 22" Vossen wheels
Hello everyone.
Just put on 22 "Vossen. My tires are 265/25/22 front and 295/30/22 rear. Now I would like to put the car a little lower. I am also thinking of fitting slightly taller tires. Only 22 "tires for the G11 are nowhere to be found. Can you suggest something? I also have slightly tinted headlight lenses and an exhaust tip from the M760. Greetings |

They look nice.
I'm assuming your not in the northeast? I have 19" M sport wheels and I've bent all 4 of them within the last year. Not wanting to go to the wheel repair shop every month is the only reason I haven't gotten bigger wheels. |

If I set Comfort it is pretty good, I give Sport on the highway. After a month of riding, so far everything is OK. |

Would love some but no way in London!!! Wroclaw has pretty crappy streets too! I am also looking to lower mine. A guy on here codes it remotely for you. |

I don't want to lower by computer. I'll use these ghost links. Apparently, when it is lowered through the computer, the suspension is harder. |

That is not the case. Lowering with software is better because you dont need to lift your car, adjust each wheel individually and you warranty is safe because it can not be detected, unlike with links which the dealer immeadetly notices when they lift the car up. With software lowring each wheel is automaticly calibrated and front to rear (rake) is also done automaticlly and cant be missaligned like it can with links.

Mrgicm will do remotely. You need a windows laptop and a lead to OBD port.
I have also heard that coding is better than links as they are hard work to set up correctly leading to camber and tyre wear issues. Coding just sets reference point lower. Toe and camber remain same unless you have it dragging the floor. Eco..comfort....sport and adaptive function the same as before. |

These wheels are pretty old and were originally built for my F01 750. After I upgraded to a 2016 G12, I had a local shop re-drill the holes to fit the new bolt pattern. Tire sizes are 265/30/22 up front and 315/25/22 in the back. These wheels were extremely well made and they have stood the test of time. |

It is a nice look but 22 inch wheels are out of the question here (NY metro). Salt in winter and poor overall maintenance mean potholes everywhere, including limited access highways. Hit a good sized pothole on 22's at 65mph and you are going to need a new tire and likely new wheel. That is an impact with a lot of force. Even with 19's there are risks. My SA who is also a friend says their business the last two months has been lots of lots of wheel, tire and suspension problems. For those wheels, tire and wheel insurance would be a good investment. Plus, you absolutely have to be religious about tire pressure, likely should run a bit higher than normal. That will not help on ride quality either.

Anything over 20" is asking for trouble (and huge repair bills).
