Serious manufacturers can still build lightweight 'real' performance cars for true enthusiasts if they truly desire…
Such a refreshing change from the lazy & greedy German manufacturers continuing to build heavier & bigger stuff & simply throwing more & more hp at it.

Its a retro version of the original A110 that won the World Rally Championship in the 70's. Pretty good interpretation if you ask me.
Like any Renaultsport product it's the 'real deal'. I doubt anyone from the US would understand as its not a truck or a V8.🤣

Neat but still are not going to be flying out of the showrooms. It lacks presence, not many will notice it in a parking lot. I liken it to an FRS or BRZ. Perfect sports car but lacks appeal other than super light weight and upgradeable.
If Toyota/Subaru would add a factory bolt on turbo system they would sell a lot more of the twins. The A110 needs some of that. It's 5 years old so breathing new life into it helps. |

The original looked good but somehow the modern interpretation of the front end doesn't really work.
Regardless, if this were sold in America, it would certainly be one of the cars on my shopping list. Exactly the type of niche product that stirs my soul.

I didn't watch the video. And I'd really like to see that car in person. really like it.
I saw on YouTube or I read, that the reason this car is so lite is because it really doesn't share any or many parts with another car ? Same with the Cayman weight. I don't think their talking engine but suspension and monocoque and interior bits. Is this true ? |
