How to turn of text message notifications

Anyone know how to get the text messages to stop popping up on the screen when someone texts me?

That is interesting because I am trying to figure out how to get them to pop up.

Are you talking with CarPlay or without?

Without Android Auto or carplay. Just using Bluetooth

I take it that this is not an iPhone...nothing I can find in iPhone settings that pertain to messages. Contacts yes...messages no.

Have you looked up notifications in iDrive to see if there’s a setting to turn text message notifications off/on?

You may be able to quickly find notifications and/or text message info in the digital versions of the owners manual. There’s an owners manual built into iDrive that can be very helpful…and if you downloaded a digital version to a device of your choice…you could use that to do a keyword search to quickly find the topic/subject matter.
