Minimum Deposit required to order car?
For all those who ordered their 1er, what was the dealer's requirement/your preference to leave a deposit to place an order? Just curious what to expect and what I should leave to place my order when I go to the dealer very soon.

There was a deposit of $500 at my dealership, but because i had a trade in, they did not require me to put a deposit on it...

It's definitely dealer-dependent. when i was looking around for mine, i had quotes from $500-$2500 (?!!) as a required deposit to hold the car. I ended up paying $1000 at my dealer but, like everyone else on here says, it's refundable, no matter what your dealer tells you.

I was told I'd probably have to put down a deposit, but I've ordered and am at status 112 and they've not asked yet. I'm certainly not going to volunteer.
