Talking FINALLY HERE (Sparkling Copper/Night Blue i7)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Received this beauty today after five long months of waiting. It's in "old man" spec w/o M-sport because I wanted the Sparkling Copper color. It's a super unusual color. I had a M5 Competition in Champagne Quartz and I think this color is even more beautiful. The only downside is no boost paddle on the steering wheel which I didn't realize until after the order locked. The color though makes it worth it. This is my commuter car so it doesn't need blistering performance.

Since it's a less common color, figured I'd show a few more pics of the interior.

The order was super painful, probably contributed to by the interior spec which is Night Blue/Taupe Grey over Silver Ash Root Open Pore wood w/ color gradient. I saw this spec a few times on this site and fell in love. Otherwise the car is fully loaded except the lounge seat package. I have two kids that ride in the back and I cannot have a discrepancy in functionality between left and right or there will be strife.

Beautiful color looks similar to Bernina Amber Grey on old 7 series; but a new lighter version.

Nice! On my monitor does not seem to be copper but more bluish/gray, but very good looking. Enjoy it.

Enjoy! In my opinion, the 7 series without the m package is a very elegant limousine.

Congrats, nice looking 7. Love the color but all the chrome is not my cup of tea.

It's a slate blue-gray with a copper fleck that shows in full sun. It's pretty interesting how much range there is with this color. In shadow it appears like a dark gray. But in sun it's quite bright.

Compared to my Champagne Quartz M5 this one has less of the underlying fleck but it's still there. (CQ is a quartz gray with a heavy bronze fleck that shows under full sun - it's not everyone's taste but it's striking...)

If you don’t mind asking - What was the final price before tax? The external color looks awesome and love the seats as well. Never seen anything like this.

This car was nearly fully loaded so just over 130 after discount and before rebates. MSRP was >150. You can find all these options in the configurator, but the online imagery doesn't really do it justice - especially the silver ash trim which has a pretty spectacular metallic sheen in real life.

Options I didn't get were the rear exec lounge seating and 21" wheels (preferred the look of the 20s).

Looks great! Color is also similar to Dravit Grey which has gold flecks in it and available on G8x M3/4 as well as some others.

Nice color. As I recall, from a post on here a few years ago, CQM was renamed Dravit Grey. Can’t find the link at the moment, though I see Reddit posts that say they are slightly different. It looks from your pics the Sparkling Copper is similar, although as we know pics often don’t reflect the actual color very well.

My CQM gets lots of compliments for its subtle variations, including hints of purple undertone (hence “quartz” in the name).
I’m sure you found that with your CQM and will likely find the same with your new ride.

The new front ends of most BMW’s these days are not my cup of tea, but the incredible technology and attention to detail that goes into these cars is undeniable.

Great color combo. Especially like the interior choice. How does it drive…smaller than its size? I parked next to a 760 the other day and it has great presence.

Champagne Quartz was renamed Alvite Grey I think.

Dravit is a different color. I had an X7 in Dravit. It has more of a yellow-green tinge to it vs. CQ's quartz gray-bronze effect.
