2021 BMW 330i – Engine Mount Vibration Issue (Video Included)
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing a persistent vibration and resonance issue with my 2021 BMW 330i (B46 engine, RWD), especially noticeable at idle and under light throttle. The car has only 30,000 miles on it. There are no warning lights or error codes, and the OEM spark plugs were recently replaced by a certified BMW technician. Today, I had the engine mounts, transmission mount, and exhaust system inspected by a BMW service technician. All mounting points were physically tested using a pry bar while I was present. I recorded several short videos during the inspection. Although I observed clear movement in the engine mounts during the pry bar test, the technician stated that everything looked “normal” and made no mention of the vibration in the final report. However, the vibration is clearly felt both in the engine bay and inside the cabin. So I wanted to ask: Has anyone experienced a similar vibration issue? Is this level of movement during a pry bar test normal for OEM mounts? LINK: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Cl-...LQL5/view?t=42 Could this indicate early wear, or are the mounts just this soft from the factory? I’m happy to share the videos with anyone interested. I’d really appreciate any insight or similar experiences. Thanks in advance |

Try posting in the chassis/suspension section vs. cosmetics/detailing. Good luck!

I’ve just replaced the engine and transmission mounts on my F30 (B47) 2017 with 178,000 km. After months of dealing with vibrations, increased noise, gearbox shaking, and jerking when taking off, I finally replaced them – the difference is incredible, even though the first mechanic suggested the DMF was to blame. Luckily, I didn’t believe that and had Lemförder mounts installed by another local mechanic for about $350. The old mounts seemed fine at first glance, but it was noticeable that they had “sagged.”

I was experiencing vibration at idle in drive, the motor mounts seemed to be a bit collapsed, the bottom of the mount was sagging. I replaced both and the vibration did not completely go away, in fact it seemed worse at times. Sometimes it's totally smooth, can't tell it running. other times the steering wheel shakes..... Anybody have an idea what's going on?
