West Coast Low Mileage E70 X5 Undercoat?

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a low mileage X5 from CA where it spent almost its entire 60k mile life. The underside looks brand new. My question is, is an undercoat worth it? Or will it do more harm than good. I live PA and road salt is an issue. My old Honda was religiously washed and it still rusted out.

I would 100% recommend getting Fluid Film applied. Keep that underbody fresh!

Check out Woolwax on Amazon. It's $70 for a gallon jug and you can DIY it with a sprayer. It's the same lanolin stuff they spray for Fluid Film.
Will it be as thorough as a shop that has a lift and bay to do it in?
Probably not, but will be helpful for sure!
