Frozen grey car wash question

Hello, new 22 frozen grey M3 Competition owner here. This is my first car with matte paint finish so I'm not sure what is the correct procedure for washing this car.

I read it online that I need to use car wash soap specially formulated for matte paint finish, is this true? Also, I've always used car wash soap with wax finish like the Armour All Wash & Wax for all my other cars with gloss paint finish, will this be ok?

Finally, I'm guessing that I can't wax & polish this car?

It’s pretty easy dont worry to much like i did . The frozen paint is very strong .

I have frozen black paint dont wax at all costs no matter what anyone says you will fill in the frozen paint and cause a shine .

I dont ever auto car wash but I did buy a small fortune in special Matt soaps ,BMW Matte soaps many conversations with matte paint specialists and purchased there products .. I ended up selling all the products online .

I like Jimbo’s super soaper soap and use and use a foam cannon . I avoid hand contact washing as much as possible . The frozen paint washes the dirt off easier I think and the super soaper product has a p.h of 8.7 up from others at 8.3 and my water out of the tap is 8.3 ph . The higher PH per say is just a better cleaner wash to me and mostly don’t even have to contact wash I love the product . Get a good yard blower to help dry that frozen I think you will be good .
That super soap is more water based less chemicals I think .

If I get water spots I use a vinegar and water mix spray on a micro fiber towel and away the water spots go .

I tried everything and settled on this very easy system… then I use jimbos tough as shell ceramic spray . I tried it inside my doors first to assure that ceramic spray would not alter my color and never did like others did big fan of the products and support there .

There are some really good threads on here about frozen/matte paint care. Do a search for those buzz words and do a read through. Many use Matte-specific car care products like Dr. Beasley's. Like JWM said - avoid anything which adds shine - waxes, polishes, gloss enhancers etc.

I generally go with a Ph balanced foam and car wash - there are plenty out there.

The paint is actually really good - imo it masks dirt/dust really well and it seems quite hard (I've got frozen dark grey). But you will want to get rid of bird droppings and other stuff that can eat clear coat pretty quickly if you can. Dr. Beasely's has a quick detailer which is good and I keep in my car for a quick spray if I need it.

Just use a matte specific wash. When I had a frozen car, I used the Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte stuff and it worked great.

In all honestly, the frozen paint is easier to live with than lot of people make it out to be. Just don't let anyone accidentally buff/polish your car and you'll be just fine.

While no experience with frozen paint on BMWs, Ive had many many bikes with matte paint.

It's alot of anxiety and nervousness but its really simple and easy to maintain a matte paint. Just use and only use matte specific products on it.

Bike in the attached image had got a new oem takeoff set of fairings, ceramic coated and then chemical guys meticulous matte. I get its easier to never wash a bike, but between the ceramic coating and constantly being wiped off, I only had to hose it off and wipe it back down with CG MM and move on.
