These new paint job posts rarely land well here. The G70 has such a bold, stately presence that a single tone is already perfect to showcase its dignity. Adding a two-tone or hot racing look is kind of like putting neon LED lapels on a tuxedo. I DO like and encourage the experimentation; but ultimately, this car isn't a Ferrari, Bugatti or Porsche.

I think it's done for the sake of uniqueness rather than beauty.

The V8 emblems are so embarrassingly tacky. A V8 is not unique or special. šŸ¤¦šŸ»*ā™‚ļø

For a moment, I had the illusion that I could see a V12 badge here, but unfortunately it's only a V8.

The V8 lettering is unnecessary inside, but overall the interior is beautiful.

He gives me the same feeling when I used to look at the old school cars that had the hard top that looked like a convertible. I never really got that especially if you live in a high pollen area. I’ve had convertibles, but that’s the part. I ate it about owning them.

not a fan of the v8 sewn in the headrest, seems random and out of place. Interior def looks luxurious. The color combo is wild for sure!

Putting V8 badges on a 7, reminds me of the same type of person that does this:

I have to agree with "V8" all over place being somewhat tacky. Maybe needs to add "32 valve DOHC" somewhere.

It?s definitely a unique edition, one of those designs you?ll either love or hate.

That said, the two-tone paint immediately brings to mind the classic Rolls Royce look, as well as BMW?s own late 1990s 7 Series two-color experiments that didn?t last very long. It feels more like a throwback concept than a timeless design direction.

Of course, this is courtesy of Abu Dhabi Motors 🤣, so I suppose I shouldn?t be too surprised by the visual direction.

What?s more disappointing, in my opinion, is BMW?s decision to equip this edition with SensaTec rather than a Merino or a true special-edition leather. For a limited V8 flagship, this sends the wrong message about where the brand is heading in terms of materials, craftsmanship, and perceived quality.

IMO, if BMW was going to release a special edition like this, it would have made far more sense to treat it with the same level of craftsmanship and exclusivity as the Skytop editions. premium materials, unique finishes, and interior execution to match the exterior statement.

As it stands, it feels more like a cosmetic experiment than a true collector-grade special edition.

I think it’s a V8. 🤣

Jokes aside, really digging the two tone.

I remember they used to put a V12 badge on the C pillar just a few yrs ago..

Will they eventually put ā€œI6ā€ badge in the future? 😂

Looks unique for sure but not elegant, in my opinion!

I drove a 2025 740i for a few days last year, it was very comfortable but the I6 engine was not even audible, at this point doesn’t matter if V8 or full EV.
7 series would make sense as EV only but the 740 had a range of almost 500 miles!

I do like the paint job minus the badging. It says ā€žhey look the 760 is V12 no moreā€œ.
