According to the Michelin website on their sizing charts for PS2's, the following tires for the following wheel widths:
255 - 8.5"-10" 285 - 9.5"-11" So you are good according to Michelin. The Nitto website has the same info. -Andy

Those tire sizes are too narrow in my opinion for rims that wide.

I have seen people go with narrower. I would go with a bigger tire, but these tires will in fact work.

I am thinking that the wheels are too wide for my tyres which is a big shame as I would really like to buy Andy's mesh 8's but I already have these tyres and they are brand new so don't really want to have to buy more tyres.

Too bad. Thanks anyways. Out of curiosity, what is the sidewall ratio on them? 255/35 & 285/35?

That is what I thought. Again, don't take my word for it, take a look at the Michelin website, they say you are good to go with the tires. Your choice though. Let me know.

So since you've already invested money in these tires, then put them on the wheels. They'll be a little stretched, but they will fit the wheel. (barely) Those sizes won't offer you any rim lip protection though, so you need to be extra careful around curbs! I thought you were originally asking about a future tire purchase... When those tires wear out, move up to 265/35 front and 295/30 rear.

What are the offset values of the front and rear wheels? What model BMW did they come off? and What brand of tires are on these wheels?

I already have the tryes as I already have some bbs lm's for them to go on ,its just that I saw some wheels on here that I liked and was going to buy but they are too wide , my wheels are 9j front and 10 rear so the tyres I have should be fine.

I have 255/35/19 Nitto INVO's and I do rub turning full left. I'll be going 285/35/19 in the rear, 19x10 +20, I hope it doesn't rub!

Depends on the tire brand you choose, and the drop you have on the car now...
