What's the best watch under $500?

I've been looking and just wondering what everyone's opinion is...

I like Tissot, ESQ, Victorinox. Are there other brands that make awesome watches under $500 that look great and are of good quality?

Seiko. Even though I have an Omega, I'd still recommend Seiko to the extreme. Get one of their Kinetic Divers. Best of both worlds. Automatic winding mechanism with quartz accuracy.

If you're willing to stretch a bit, get the new Tissot Seastar 1000. It's magnificent in design. Or maybe a Dievas Vortex. Great legibility with a good dial.

Try Hamilton. There are a bunch in that price range.

I love my Victorinox. $320 on overstock.com from $825 in stores. Get lots of compliments (more so than my much fancier automatic watch and it keeps much better time).

Yeah, definitely not getting a new Oris for under $500.

I'm a fan of the Lum-Tec watches. A few of those are in your price range.

Check nordstroms rack if you have one in your area.. You can sometimes find Victorinox for like a 100 bucks.. With your price range I'd personally go with Burberry.

+1 for Hamilton. This will probably be the best choice, but I think they run over your price range (some might be under)

Tissot (higher models), Seiko, used Oris are also good choices

Please stay away from brand name watches (ie burberry/nixon/etc). You are ultimately paying for name brand quartz movement watches.

Go to Nordstroms Rack, or Costco/Sams Club for sweet deals on nice watches (Tag, Bulova, Seiko, Citizen, etc...)

+1 you beat me to it. I love the stealth tactical look of the Bull45 series in particular. MSRP is $455.

The thing I love about Lum-Tec is that not everybody in the world knows about them so they are definitely more unique.

One day I'll break down and buy this Lum-Tec M21 Tungsten Carbide. It's a little over $500 tho.

As someone mentioned earlier, I'd go with Burberry (nordstroms or macys). They have some of the nicest looking watches for $500.

To me they look nicer than watches 5x the price. I don't know how quality their watches are, but just in looks, I'd rather buy a Burberry watch.
