Finally got a set of LM's for my E90 M3

I was very surprised at first that such a popular wheel would be hard to get. I tried ordering through the rack and found that they needed to be special ordered. I checked with IND and they were able to source them for me. A TPS valve was backordered but it did not take that long to get. I just got them yesterday so here they are unboxed and ready for install tomorrow!

Piled up nicely in front of my M Coupe which they would look great on but they are going on the M3.

Shot of wheel with PSS tires

Closeup of centercap, they color was not as dark as I expected from all of the pictures I have seen. I am glad I went with DBK, they will go great with my IB sedan as they both will look lighter in the day and darker at night!

It was a hot day but was able to get the wheels swapped and just in time.

Is this normal for a stock M3 to wear out the rear tires in 12K miles, this is just normal driving. Luckily I had the new wheels and tires going on today.

Here is a driver side shot, poor lighting today due to sun and shade. Looks like it needs a drop but I am going to drive it a while before deciding if I should do it. Any suggestions for stock riding springs that will lower the car to reduce the fender gap. Want to keep the stock EDC.

Passenger side, DBK just does not seem to photograph as good as they look live.

Eibach and Dinan are the two most conservative spring options. I had Eibach and the ride is close to stock. Dinan only gives you a 1/2" drop and is over priced IMO.

What are the specs on your new wheels & tires? They look a little conservative. I would have gotten the 10" or 9.5" version for the front and 11" version for the rear.

I went conservative as it is my daily driver. 19 x 8.5 f and 19 x 10 rear

Wider sizes would not have impacted your daily drivability. Despite that you picked a great wheel

It was rubbing that I was worried about. Didn't want to deal with that. I have always been aggressive in all my previous cars, this will be more of a daily that I don't want to worry about so mods have been more geared that way. When I get my next track car then it will be all out as it has been in the past.

that alignment appears way off to be wearing the tires like that. Too much camber

That is stock suspension and settings, so I was surprised but have seen many other M3 rear tires like this. Is there a way to dial back the camber to get more even wear or will the handling suffer?

Aren't the H&R sports too soft so the suspension hits the oem bumpstops? I was thinking about the race as someone else had used those and said the ride was not that much stiffer.

The camber is certainly adjustable. I have mine at maximum negative in the rear and don't see tire wear like yours... but I should say that I sell my wheels too quickly to ever get down to the end of a tire's life. You may want to check your alignment settings to see what is happening there. Or start pushing your car more in the corners

H & R's are not at all too soft; in fact it's the opposite. They are one of the stiffer options available. I would not recommend the race version (based on what I read they are very stiff - no personal experience). The bump-stop issue is driven by ride height and H & R's lower the car further than some of the other options out there. As I mentioned previously, Eibach will give you near stock comfort. Eibach will not lower your car as much as H & R. Some people swap the OEM front bump stops with e36 bump stops in order regain some of the travel. This is what Dinan's kit does. Dinan also shaves the front guide supports. Many people do both of these changes with H & R's as well. If you do some research you will find that there is some debate about this. The OEM bump stops are designed to compress as part of the overall suspension travel.

I had Eibachs on my 2008 550i... nice, and a bit "soft."

I went H&R Sport for my e90 sedan.... I would say a bit stiffer than ZCP with just the right amount of drop.

Slicer.... thanks for the education! You know your stuff!!

Amateur pics rarely capture real life looks. Pro shoots can be quite the opposite.

Nice wheels, what offsets?

If you want as close to a stock ride, I'd go Eibach (with e36 bumps) especially if this is a street car. Dinan is great but if you want to make a noticeable difference in closing the gap, I'd start with Eibach. H&R's drop more but the ride isn't as "stock" as Eibach. I haven't tried some of the others, i.e. Swift and RD.
